The defense of Mahmoud Khalil today is the defense of the freedom of speech of every progressive activist and protester, now and in the future, against the neofascist movement Trump is building and leading to suppress all mass struggle for democracy and social justice. Mahmoud stands for all of us.

We must keep rallying and marching!

We must keep striking and walking out and shutting down campuses, schools, and communities until Khalil is free, the charges are dropped, and freedom of speech has been militantly defended. If we do not win through mobilizing in the streets, we will surely lose in the courts.

• DEFEAT TRUMP’S FASCIST PROGRAM TO SHUT DOWN FREE SPEECH, to ethnically cleanse America through mass deportations, and to maintain the genocide of the Palestinian people.
• Unite the pro-Palestine anti-war movement, immigrant rights, civil rights, and campus free-speech movements to defeat Donald Trump’s fascist movement now!
• Fight to make all universities sanctuary campuses and every state, city, community, school and every other institution a sanctuary zone. Reverse the cowardly politicians’ attempts to undo sanctuary status where it has been won. 
• Build worker/community/student defense guards to stop ICE from entering our communities, workplaces, campuses, schools, etc. now.
• Stop all deportations now! Full citizenship rights for all green card holders and all immigrants with and without papers. Stop university administrators from collaborating with Trump’s fascist policies.
• We can beat Trump’s fascist movement, if we act now. Join BAMN and become part of the build new independent leadership fighting to win right now.

Trump’s movement is actually weak, vulnerable, divided, and increasingly self-discredited even with the less-rabid elements of its own base. We are gaining more power by the day based on the growing strength of our independent movement. We must remove Trump and defeat his movement now, while it is growing weaker and we are growing stronger. Hitler and Mussolini—Trump’s role models—could have been stopped except for the passivity and defeatism of the “liberal” misleaders during the fascist rise to power in Italy and Germany. Then, the “do-nothing” liberal politicians, pundits and media in Italy and Germany refused to act; they feared the inevitable challenge for power that would result from calling their supporters into the streets more than they feared giving the fascists the power to prosecute the Holocaust and World War II. WE MUST NOT REPEAT THIS TERRIBLE HISTORY OF INACTION!

Our independent movement is marching forward. We are the true and only defenders of democracy. We are the wall of defense against the Trump movement’s program of authoritarianism, white skin privilege, destruction of human rights, xenophobia, and crazed militarism—with its inevitable genocidal trends and endless provocative triggers to World War III. We can beat Trump—but only if we keep up the mass mobilizing to fight, building our movement by uniting the independent power of the struggles for human rights, social justice, and the sisterhood and brotherhood of all peoples.
