HBO’s “Eyes on the Prize III” highlights BAMN’s pivotal role defending affirmative action in the historic Grutter v. Bollinger University of Michiga n Law School case, making the most compelling legal case in the courtroom and mobilizing 75,000 young people to march in Washington, D.C. April 1, 2003 on the day the Supreme Court heard oral arguments. This forced the Republican-dominated Supreme Court to uphold affirmative action. BAMN’s fight to stop the resegregation of higher education and defend the promise of Brown v. Board of Education continues to this day.
